It is only because of packaging that we are able to get various products in different packages, big or small, as per our requirement.

Packaging is very useful in increasing the shelf life of various products so that they can be used for a longer period of time. If we take the example of food items, we can see that there are various products which cannot be used after a specific time if they are not packaged properly by using various preservatives. This also helps in the availability of various products in such regions where they are not even produced.

Labeling also plays an important role in conveying various instructions regarding the products such as information about the item, how to use it, rate of the product, date of expiry of the product, how to dispose the product etc. Hence, labeling is also a source of information for the sellers as well as users.
